SOCCER!

With over 3.5 billion fans worldwide, football ("soccer") is the most admired sport on the planet. The crowds chant and sing. The teams race back and forth sometimes nowhere near the goal for much of the game. The referees chase after the players, just dying to toss a small square card at players for rule infractions. One of my favorite aspects of the game is the fact that it does not matter who is playing, young, old, male or female- the fan support for the game that they are watching is the same. The action is fast paced, and when there is a goal, it is almost like a magical moment!

For me, this sport is like heaven. I just love the feeling when I get to blast a ball into the back of the net! I have been playing this sport for over 5 years. I’m selected to play for the school team as well. So I consider myself as an experienced soccer player. After all soccer is my favorite sport J!

Thailand floods: floating toilets, makeshift jet skis, and doggie lifejackets

As Thailand faces its worst flooding in more than 50 years,  a local company is distributing floating toilets free of charge to the flood victims.   The local company  Coto  designed the floating twin-toilet unit, which weighs  around 800 kg. I think that this innovation is very creative and well thought because it would help keep our city tidy. Without this innovation, our disposal would be all around the country. This would make the country look classless, dirty and smelly. After all, Thanks to this company for cooperating with all the devastated victims. This would  really help the country become a tidy place.

FLOOD :(

Across the country, the flooding -- now in its third month -- has affected 25 of Thailand's 77 provinces. The death toll from Thailand's worst flooding in half a century reached 506. According to my research on the flood in Thailand, I found out that about 3.1 million people have been affected and 4 million acres of farmland have been damaged. Moreover, the department said two people are believed missing and about 75 highways have closed. Floods are an annual occurrence in the country but have been particularly severe this year, and some residents and analysts have criticized the government's response. The government did not have enough resources to deal with floodwaters, noting that officials had recently asked the private sector for water pumps to help drain water out of Bangkok.

After all, this severe flood did not affect my family directly because my house isn't flooded.  But for some safety reasons, my family needs to waste money on sandbags and food. The floods have also disrupted Bangkok’s food- and water-supply chains. Many convenience stores and supermarket shelves are regularly short of items like bottled water and non-perishable food like mama cup or rice. The demand for sand bags and food and water supply chains has increased dramatically. Everybody is desperate to get food and bottles of water. Once the demand increases and the supply decreases, the price for everything will increase. This will help cause more problems for the people who are suffering.

As the current flooding crisis has become extremely severe in many provinces, my family decided to donate 300,000 baht. We all hope that the flooding situation will recover as soon as possible! I hope all of my friends and teachers stay safe and dry for a couple of weeks.

"Identity"

First of all, what is identity? For me, the fact of being who or what a person or thing is identity. You got to be true and real otherwise you will have no sense of identity. For example, even though you are don't look that good, you should still be your self. Your dream will always be that you will be able to look hot and have all of the girls sleeping beside you. This is a normal instinct that nearly all boys have. You should just trust in your self and prove to everyone that identity is something really important.

Being your self is also important because you are unique and why not show that to everyone to the world that your not identical to anyone. According to my research, I found out that nearly everyone thinks that twins are born identically. This idea is absolutely not precise. They may look the same from the out side but in the inside, they are totally different. They both have the same appearance but their perspectives minds are different.

In conclusion, I think that identity has played a very big role towards my life. Even though, I have the same blood as my brother, we still have different opinions on different things. We both have unique brains that help our body functions.  So guys, instead of wasting your time by changing your appearance, just be your self. "You have one life so just live with it"!

Metacognition

Metacognition basically is when you are thinking about your thinking. Metacognition helps us give more detail into our thoughts and it also helps give us clues about something your thinking about. There are two types of metacognition, The first type of metacognition is metacognition conversation. This type of  metacognition  helps you find out small amount of details on your thoguhts. The second type of metacognition is thinking out loud. When you think out loud it helps you have more creativity and it gives you a wider range on your thinking skills. Metacognition helps us a lot and from metacognition we can find details from different things.

I think that this kind of strategy can be really useful for our future life. It helps us think more precisely and it also trains our brain to give us clues when we need them.
